  1. My mother bought this for my daughter and I am pleased with the firmness and quality, BUT do not remove the sticker. It seems like the obvious thing to do and there is no warning to not remove it. However, it will leave a sticky goo all over everything!!! The manufacturer does not back it up. Who puts industrial glue on a baby mattress anyway?! Very dissapointed in all the work I’m going to have to do to get it off since I’ve “voided the warranty” already. =(

  2. The mattress arrived with a lump right down the middle of the mattress – it felt as if the padding had become dislodged and was bunched up under the cover. It was significant enough that it was visible and would have been very uncomfortable and in my opinion unsafe for an infant. I thought about just flipping the mattress to the other side, however when I did that, I was not pleased with the firmness of the mattress. The mattress was rather squishy for lack of a better word – even the regular mattress we sleep on is much firmer. The mattress did however fit snugly in our crib.

Overall, I was not pleased with the quality of this mattress for the following reasons – 1) the defect noted above, 2) firmness (or lack of) and 3) it didn’t seem to have much padding between the cover and the coils (even on the side without the defect).

I highly recommend doing research on what qualities to look for in a good crib mattress then going to the store so you can see and feel the mattress before purchasing.

  3. Well when it said extra firm thats what we expected! we have taken several child birth classes and all of them suggested a firm mattress to protect against sids. This mattress isn;t even semi-firm by any strech of imagination. Our padded mattresses are firmer than this. Completely avoid!

  4. I bought a toddler bed for my grandson when he visits, and the bed needed a crib size mattress. I wanted a good quality, sturdy mattress that would last many years, so I ordered this one. I have not been disappointed. The quality is obvious when you handle the mattress. It is firm and sturdy. I expect this mattress to last as long as he, and my younger grandchildren, can fit in the bed. You can buy a much cheaper mattress, but if you want it to remain firm for those little growing spines, I think this is the right choice, not only for toddlers but for babies in the crib as well.

  5. We ordered this for our nursery and we really liked it and thought the price was very reasonable. BUT, when we opened it up, the mattress was ripped in two places. We kept it because the rips were manageable and figured we could just buy another one if we needed-but it was just an annoyance.
