What’s the difference between a motorcycle helmet and a scooter helmet?

Are they rated differently or is it just a style thing? I ask because there is a helmet on eBay advertised as “Motorcycle Scooter Helmet”.

  1. whatever you buy be sure it is DOT approved & preferably Snell approved as well. DOT is the Federal mandatory safety standard. Snell is a manufacturers standard.

  2. well the motorcycle helmets are fully enclosed at the front and have a visor as the scooter helmets do not, i think the motorcycle helmets are built ro higher standards and are quite stronger in the incident of a crash.

  3. there is no difference
but when choosing a helmet ensure you factor in:
material Kevlar, carbon fibre, glass fibre, thermoplastic, lexan.
the use you are putting it to..
    fit comfort and cost.

  4. Open casket or closed casket funeral.
