How do I share a hard drive over a wireless network?

I have an external hard drive that I have connected to a wireless laptop. I want to be able to access that hard drive through my new laptop wirelessly. The laptop with the hard drive is windows xp and the new one is vista. Please help! By the way, I connect to the internet through a wireless router that isn’t connected to another computer, just the cable modem.

find the drive letter in the one pc that has the exturnal connected to it and right click and click on sharing and secutity and than follow the directions-if the exturnal hdd is letter D right click drive D than go to sharing
