What can do about the fact that “a little mouse” keeps eating all the chocolate in my house?

I seem to have a problem here in my house. I buy candy like Hershey’s Kisses or M & M’s and put them in a bowl on my coffee table, but before I know it, the candy disappears quickly. I suspect that “a little mouse” keeps eating the candy when my back is turned.

I asked my 40 year old 220 pound roommate if he has seen a little mouse running around the house that has been eating all the chocolate, but he says that he has not seen the little mouse!

Does anybody else have the problem that a little mouse runs around your house, and eats and drinks things that it shouldn’t?

sounds like you got a big mouse that wieghts 220lbs

  3. Ask your 220 pound roommate why he is eating all of the chocolate? If you suspect a mouse then place the chocolate in a tin container with cover and place it on your table. If the chocolate disappears then blame your 220 lb. roommate.

No. I would hide the goodies… If there are out there, they are going to get eaten by mice, moose, middle-aged roomies.

  5. Have strong cat.

  6. Poison the chocolate. If your roommate dies, then you know he’s a liar…

Ok, seriously – I’m fortunate that my roommate and I get along well and we don’t steal or use each other’s stuff (including food) without permission. But I agree that you just shouldn’t put out the chocolate. Hide it in your room or something.

  7. Put a good handful of chocolate Brooklax in the jar one day and later check the bathroom for evidence of mice

  8. firebomb your home ,that will stop the little critter or big critter in their tracks.

  9. I smell a rat. I think that you should keep all valuables locked up so there will be no filching of the pickanic baskets.

  10. Get one of those little spy cams. A store named SHARPER IMAGE sells one that looks like a digital clock. SEE WHO THIS MOUSE ACTUALLY IS!
